Schwabing

Schwabing is a student area for the University of Munich. It is not as hip as it used to be any more, but there are really nice and cute street cafes and bookstores with interesting finds, and it is very nice to walk. And it is a very nice walk, not too far, from Marienplatz.
If you have some time left, also try to check out Olympiapark and Olympiaturm.
Munich has so much stuff to see...
And when you go, please leave your car wherever it is, you REALLY don't need it!
I'm a Munich native, live in the US right now, but if I ever go back to Germany, it has to be Munich!
